  The WAA faces two main challenges on its journey to becoming a globally influential international standard and industrial organization: First, the creation and consolidation of the WAA industry consensus. To tackle this challenge, it is necessary to start from the customers' actual application scenarios and pain points in their experiences, so that customers that are end users can truly feel the promotional and regulatory effects of the WAA standards on experience enhancement. Second, the openness of the WAA. Since its establishment, the WAA has embraced an open mindset and welcomed members from various industries and countries to actively participate in developing the WAA standards system. We will continue to uphold this principle in the future operation and development of WAA.

  One of the enduring features of the development of WLAN technologies over the past 20 years is that it continuously adopts new technologies while guaranteeing the backward compatibility of standards and products and ensuring the interconnection between devices from different manufacturers. I believe that the WAA will work with the upstream and downstream of the industry chain to ensure global consistency of WLAN standards. With the strong support of the WAA members and joint promotion from industry partners, the WAA will collaborate with domestic and foreign standards organizations and industry partners to jointly promote the continued prosperity and development of global WLAN standards, technologies, products and ecology.

  WLAN technologies have promoted the development of home services. However, with the continuous emergence of new scenarios, new services and new applications, the WLAN continues to face the following new challenges: Increased number of terminal access points per household, increasingly complex home services and daily increasing demands for user experience. In this background, the WAA was established. Starting more from the actual applications of existing networks, the WAA focuses on application scenarios and the application experience to promote the development of scenario-based performance standards and the establishment of certification systems, promoting the development of the WLAN industry.
